The Creative Realm with Kim Davies
Kim already had a website on WordPress but wanted a new direction and to offer different services. She started to DIY but decided to reach out to me.
Website Goal: Capture email addresses of people interested in future offerings/workshops and introduce Kim so people get to know her.
About the project: First, we worked on a new colour palette and fonts. I made subtle changes to the existing logo and created a matching favicon (browser logo).
We set up and connected Mailerlite with Squarespace. Kim also signed up with Scheduling, the Squarespace scheduling tool. She’ll be able to create workshops and take payments using this method.
Customizations: I created custom backgrounds and icons plus used code to add an overlapping feature between sections.
“Before working with you I was worried it would be too much work, that doing the copy would be hard, that I should be able to do this myself! That I would have trouble communicating my vision and the web designer wouldn't 'get it.' My biggest struggle was moving forward on getting my website done and getting frustrated with the technology. Now I feel excited about moving forward with my business. I feel like once I learn Scheduler the website will work well for me and be easy to update. Seeing the first draft was my favorite moment because you captured my vision! You are also very organized and I liked the Trello board and you were flexible when I didn't get everything done on time.”

Who am I?
I’m Susanne, I have years (15+) of experience working on websites, strategy and customer experience that help you stand out and attract more clients. I developed these skills during my 10 years in university administration as Faculty Website Manager and later as a Property Stylist when I discovered Squarespace for my own website. I continue to invest in myself and never stop learning and keeping up-to-date with design trends and Google SEO changes.
Our work together can start today.
