New View Interiors Property Styling
The one that started it all! This is my own Interiors website and that’s where my Squarespace journey started. The business is history now but this is how I discovered Squarespace in 2017. As my business model changed from home staging to a more consultation-based business model, I redesigned it several times over the years.
Website Goal: Booking home styling consultations for home sellers
Special feature: Styling Questionnaire where clients can upload photos directly into my dropbox account. This was for clients who needed interior decorating advice.
Customizations: I used custom code to add text highlights, graphic elements, custom bullet points, and tweaks for mobile/tablet.
Challenge: Working with existing furniture and accessories doesn’t always give you perfect photos. A website depends on high-quality photos. I used photos provided to me by real estate photographers, some stock photos, and created custom icons.
Portfolio Pages
it’s important to give context to photos and not just add lots of photos. A call to action button to book a service at the end of the page is often forgotten.
Always remember the goal of your website!
Dropbox connection:
With Squarespace, connecting to Dropbox is possible. Clients can upload files directly from your website from. I used this feature as part of my client questionnaire for my “Styling to Stay” clients.
